Welcome to the MLS Blog for the 2007-2008 school year!

We thought we would take a moment to make sure you were all familiar with the dorm parents in this dorm. Scott and I are just beginning our second here at Proctor Academy. I (Lindsey) teach US History and Sociology in the Social Science department and coach the Varsity girls soccer team and the JV basketball team. I grew up here in Andover, NH and graduated from Gordon College in Wenham, MA where I played soccer and basketball. Scott grew up in Proctor, VT and is also a graduate of Gordon College where he played basketball. Scott works in the Learning Skills department and coaches the JV soccer team and Varsity basketball team here at Proctor.

Ben Rulli is new to Proctor Academy this fall. He grew up in outside Dayton, OH, and is a recent graduate of John Carrol University in Cleveland where he played on the football team. Ben is working in the Social Science department teaching World History and is coaching Varsity football and Varsity Baseball.

We have had a great first two weeks of the year and everyone in our dorm is off to a strong start in classes and sports/activities.

Here Andrew, Greg, Mansfield, Dylan, John and Jake all pile onto a couch in the common room for a dorm meeting...

Dylan was psyched for the school year to get going (he's a sophomore now!!!)

Andrew and Louis weren't so sure about the first day of classes...

Here's Brooks (a senior and returning resident of MLS) having a late night snack...

Harry, another senior at Proctor, is new to our dorm...

Andrew had a bit of an accident skateboarding down a hill...ouch!

There were many fun activities for the boys to get involved in during the first weekend on campus.

Here Dylan, Mansfield and Greg watch a hillarious juggling act in front of the dining hall after dinner...

Here's Dave, our fearless dorm leader!

Dylan got to be a helper and assist the jugglers. He did a great job!

Here the jugglers juggle fire back and forth!!!

Another weekend activity was a dance held in the Wise Center.

Here's Jon with friends at the dance...

Jake was dancing the night away!

Harris with two friends who tried to drag him onto the dance floor. (I don't think it worked!)

Don't worry parents...it's not all fun and games at Proctor. The boys have done an excellent job learning the ropes of study hall and using their time wisely.

Here's Griffin hard at work...

Ripley and John took a moment away from their work for a roommate picture...

Apparently Greg needs two computers to complete his homework!

Greg's roommate Derric doesn't look quite as comfortable at his desk, but they are both doing a great job on their school work...

It may look like Tyler was asleep in his big comfy arm chair, but, in fact, he was hard at work!

Freshmen roommates Mansfield and Jake...

Jon just can't get enough of the Patriots and Red Sox - he plans his whole day around these games!

Jake, Louis and Dylan were very excited to have some brownies!

Here's Brooks helping organize some of the boys for Dorm Jobs. We keep the dorm tidy throughout the week, but on Sunday nights everyone cleans their rooms and helps with community jobs...

Matt, Ben and Dylan (Happy 15th Birthday Dylan!)

I know we're in for a great year here in...
