Finally, it's late - January and it's ice cold outside! But more than ice and snow, January is a season of...FOOTBALL! (Especially when you live in a dorm full of high school boys)!

Other than watching football, MLS boys have been working hard in their classes, getting their energy out in the afternoons at sports and many of them enjoy taking music lessons throughout the week. One of our most talented musicians is Sam Payson, who was one of the stars at the talent show a couple of Saturdays ago!

He played a solo song on his acoustic guitar and was part of a band with his electric guitar! (He also played bass in another song!) Very impressive!

Harris Williams has been working hard learning a new sport this winter. Here he gets some pointers from his wrestling coach...

Harris works hard to take down his Lexington Christian Academy opponent...Thanks for the pictures Neville!

Will and Jaguar getting ready to watch some football together...

Andrew, Mark, Hunter (Hunter is a day student...but is often found hanging out here in MLS), and Alex...

Here's the big group all together...getting ready for the Patriots playoff game against the Chargers...

Henry and Gardner were cozy with their pile of skittles...

But not quite as cozy as Pete and Jon...

Nick and Alex...

Harris and Rob (are the sleeping or watching the game?)...

Dylan was more interested in Instant Messenger (or maybe it was homework) than he was in football...

John M joined the group for some football action...

Scott and Eric...

Cole was having a bit of difficulty seeing the TV...Everyone wanted to be in his photo...

Will giving his classic thumbs up pose...I guess the Pats were winning at this point.

Harris found something to be pretty funny...

Last Sunday the dorm gathered together to watch the AFC Championship game between the Patriots and the Colts...

There was lots of movement, lots of laughing...

...lots of pizza. Nick, Mark and Andrew enjoy their slices...

Harris was pretty content...

Jaguar, Eric and Bobby enjoying their pizza...

Unfortunately, the Patriots lost to the Colts and put a damper on the rest of the night. Cole looked a little sad about the outcome...

...We could all relate to Tom Brady's disappointment...

HO HO HO! Happy Holidays!!! Happy New Year!!!

We hope you all enjoyed a wonderful vacation with your sons at home. We wanted to share a few pictures with you of our Christmas Party that we had just before the boys left for home! A special thanks goes out to the Forster family for helping supply some special Christmas Party funds. The boys (and us dorm parents) greatly appreciated it!

We ate chips and salsa, crackers and cheese, a fresh pot of chili, bagel pizzas....

Cookies, brownies, cupcakes, hot chocolate....

As always, our fearless leader gave a big thumbs up to the party!

There's a distinct possibility that Jon might have had a bit too much sugar...

Andrew and Henry seem a bit calmer...

Dylan, Harris and Alex hanging out...

Pete and Jon...

Harris loved the chili!

Santa, Gardner and Rob...

Just hanging out...

Mark taking in all the activity around him...

Jon and Dylan (I think it was Jon's goal to get in every picture of the night...he almost succeeded, but not quite)

Will, Andrew and Sam enjoy brownies on another night just before break...

Dylan, Cole, Scott, Jon and Pete enjoy mushy brownies and friends...

MLS got a special visit from Santa Claus and *her* elves...Harris was psyched!

Just after break we celebrated Jon Levine's Birthday with a delicious pizza party donated by his parents!!! Gardner, Bobby and Henry helped me get ready...

Pete and Jon's advisor Ian stopped by to say Happy Birthday to Jon (and have a piece of yummy pizza)!

Mark and Sam enjoying the pizza...

Jon's Birthday cupcakes...

Rob turned 15 on December 23rd when everyone was home on break, but he still got to enjoy mushy brownies upon his return...

I apologize that a few boys are missing from this blog page. One boy in particular refuses to let me take his picture, so this is the best we have of Eric...

John McNamee, Jaguar and Nick were all MIA before vacation. All three of these boys were very sick with the dreaded Norovirus that swept campus before break and missed out on our Christmas party. I'll be sure to put some extra special pictures of them on the next blog!

I hope you are all enjoying your New Year!
